A truly delicate dish that brings out the fine, nutty flavour of young porcini mushrooms in its purest form. The wafer-thin slices are simply refined with a hint of olive oil, lemon, and basil. A dream for every mushroom lover and a perfect appetizer.
Ingredients
Absolutely fresh, young porcini mushrooms (approx. 5-6 cm in size), high-quality olive oil, a little lemon juice, fresh basil leaves, salt, pepper.

Instructions
1. Carefully clean the young, firm porcini mushrooms and wipe with a clean cloth. 2. Slice them into wafer-thin slices using a truffle slicer or a very sharp knife. 3. Arrange the mushroom slices on a plate. 4. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. 5. Gently drizzle the dressing over the mushroom slices. 6. Finely chop the basil leaves and sprinkle them on top. 7. Serve immediately, preferably with toasted or buttered bread.
Important Warning!
Only use clearly identified edible mushrooms. If you are uncertain about the mushroom species, be sure to consult a mushroom expert! **WARNING: This recipe uses raw mushrooms. Raw edible mushrooms should only be consumed if they are absolutely fresh, firm, and flawless. There is a risk of gastrointestinal discomfort or, in rare cases, poisoning, even with edible species. When in doubt, always cook the mushrooms.**
